Rental in Paris review - We had a wonderful time in Paris. The apartment was in an excellent location (you can never be lost when you are a block away from the Eiffel Tower!) The neighborhood was charming and close to shopping, restaurants and transportation. The unit itself was very clean, well outfitted and the management team were most helpful. The boulangerie next door was wonderful, what fun to be able to run next door to buy fresh bread for breakfast. Luxury villa in Provence review (FB-1303) - Our stay at Maison Aix was delightful. The house was very clean, delightfully furnished and very convenient to the central city. Paris vacation rental review - We had a wonderful trip!  I want to go back today!  I loved the location of our rental, very easy to get to everything and I even have a picture of our front door from the Eiffel Tower ! I didn't go to Paris to cook, but the kitchen was fine, and I loved the Nespresso machine, in fact I think I'll look into buying one here!  Next time we will choose an apartment without a loft bed, and facing the street instead of the interior courtyard. We used the tourist information that you gave us a great deal, and also made use of the tour books in the apartment. All of it made for an seamless holiday.  We especially appreciated your restaurant recommendations. The apartment managers were very helpful, and drivers you arranged to and from the airport were lovely. Paris vacation rental review - We had a great vacation!  I'm still dreaming about it.  Our 2 weeks in Provence were magical and our 8 days in Paris were outstanding!  The apartment in Paris is in an excellent location.  We loved the fact that we could walk to most major tourist sights and that it was in such a good neighbourhood.  We knew before we went that the studio apartment was small, but it did have everything we needed.  The management staff was always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in the apartment and had a wonderful time. The bed was huge and very comfortable, but it was high and difficult to get around the bed when it was down. I don't think the bed would be suitable for anyone older than us (early 60's). We actually thought it was pretty funny and would often get the giggles but someone who is not agile might find this a challenge.  We'd like to thank you very much for everything, especially for recommending the hop on/hop of bus/ batobus and the museum pass.  Both were a great deal and we really feel that we got our money's worth. Paris apartment rental review & rental apartment in Aix en Provence review - We are now back from our France trip. Normandy villa rental review - in many ways this property exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed our stay in Normandy. Unfortunately, we experienced a plumbing problem in one of the bathrooms, but the caretaker was helpful. She is a real plus - welcoming, patient and a gracious host. M. Dionne. Barnstable MA. Oct/08. Rental in Provence review (FB-1322) - Bonjour Kerry, we are having a fabulous time here! The apartment is wonderful and now has internet and free telephone service to North America, which is a luxury. I have just been to the bakery for our daily fulfillment of croissants and bread for the day. The walk past the school toward Mount Victoire is great, in fact we run this scenic route every morning. After a week in Paris this is bliss !! Both my husband and I said of all the places we would return to it would be here, but next time we want to stay at least a month!

Villa rental in Provence review (FB-8414) - We had a wonderful trip. The house was fantastic and Beatrice was lovely. We arrived a little early and she welcomed us, told us where to go to get lunch, groceries, etc. When we returned she had the house ready for us. It was immaculately clean and we felt very welcome. Thank you for the excellent arrangements you made for us.

The Hotel in Avignon was lovely and we had a great room. The location inside the old walls was very convenient and the staff were most gracious and welcoming. When we arrived to pick up the rental car, they upgraded us to a fully automatic Mercedes Van at no extra charge. What a fabulous bonus. All the train tickets you arranged for us worked out very well and the train from Paris to London was excellent. We had a lovely meal, the staff working on the train were so accommodating and kind to the children.

I am more than pleased to recommend your company to anyone who needs a reference. We had a wonderful holiday and renting a home for so many people is the only way to go. We got up and had breakfast in the house every morning and then went on day trips. We either ate out or (most of the time) took a picnic. We saw some fantastic scenery and everyone was so
impressed that the children and adults (except for the old folks) spoke such good French. In Cassis, our 8 year old grandson got a very large ice cream cone because the young girls serving him wanted him to keep talking. We usually returned to the house around 4:00 P.M. every day and spent the next 2 to 3 hours around the pool. After dinner outside around the huge table in the garden, we went for a walk and met quite a few of the neighbours, who were very friendly and eager to tell us about the history of that particular area.

By the end of the first week, we felt we were at home and would certainly recommend this house to anyone wanting a very restful and memorable holiday. Thanks for all your help. Riviera villa rental review (FB-0613) - the villa was just what we expected and the pool and grounds were great - even better than expected ! The house manager was most helpful. and the weather was superb.  Blue skies and sunshine day after day.  Noon temperatures were never above 28 degrees Celsius nor below 21 degrees Celsius. The food in the many restaurants we tried was never disappointing and sometimes superb.  Not surprising, I suppose. This was, after all, France. Provence rental house review (FB-8430) - We had a wonderful time at Maison Pernes and a fabulous vacation in France. The house in Pernes worked out beautifully for the 8 of us. What made our stay there especially great was the delightful owner, who is a gem! She frequently popped by to chat over a glass of wine and we truly enjoyed her company. The house was well-located and well equipped. The car rental served us well and we put on a lot of kilometers exploring the neighbouring towns. Our favorites were Gordes, Les Baux, St. Remy and Isle Sur La Sorgue. Although the pool was small, the kids had a ball in it and spent many happy hours there. Paris Apartment rental review (PP0729) - Paris was manifique! The Rue Cler location could not have been better and the apartment worked well for the four of us. The local host was there to meet us when we arrived and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We tried out several of the cafes and shops recommended by France Bound, and met with success every time. We did so much walking it feels like we explored every inch of Paris. Villa rental in Provence review (FB-8405) - We are back from France and savoring the memories of a wonderful trip. The house in Ansouis was lovely--very well-appointed, and ideally located for our travels to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, as well as the numerous charming and interesting smaller villages in the region. We had teenagers, 20-somethings, and middle-aged folk in our party--everyone had fun! We ate very well, and enjoyed a lovely stretch of glorious weather. The caretakers could not have been nicer, and we enjoyed ,eeting them very much, not to mention the fact that they are able and expert guides to the region. Merci mille fois for all your help. Vacation rental in Aix en Provence review (FB-1322) - France Bound was able to find us two vacation rentals in France on short notice. The first rental was a small neatly organized apartment just outside of Aix-en-Provence. We originally wanted to be in the heart of the city but found this cozy place to be the perfect location for travelling either to Aix-en-Provence for the day, or travelling to neighboring villages in our rental car to sightsee. The apartment was perfect and had a parking space and small balcony overlooking a wooded area filled with lovely birds. The local managers were very pleasant. Nora Jean and Mark Boulware. USA. Luberon rental review (FB-8421) - The second rental was a small recently refurbished cottage located on a vineyard. What a delight ! It too was a peaceful setting and yet family oriented. The owners were constantly giving us ideas of wonderful places to visit in the area. We discovered so many awesome places. The wines from the local vineyard were very good, and the local merchant educated us with a bit of free "wine tasting" advice.

We would not hesitate to stay at these rentals again one day. We have been travelling and living overseas for the past 30 years and in the future we will recommend France Bound to all our friends and acquaintances along the way. Provence house rental review (FB-8430) - We had a wonderful time in Provence, although the weather did not cooperate, but everything else was great. The village house in Provence was delightful, and the train and car reservations were perfect. The Eurostar from London to Paris was excellent, and we were all very impressed. I loved Paris and the sparkling lights on the Eiffel Tower that were visible from our apartment window. Kerry McKeen at France Bound was extremely helpful getting things organized for our 3 week trip to France in May. We had been trying to do everything on our own via the internet and after spending  weeks spinning our wheels,  Kerry was able to book our accommodations in Provence, train tickets and car rentals in no time. Everything exceeded our expectations and we will definitely consult with Kerry for future travel plans and would not hesitate to recommend her to our family and friends. Vacation rental in Burgundy review (FB-2101): The trip was wonderful and we loved the house in Magny les Villers. It was perfect for us. I think it is a wonderful house for a couple or a family with children. You have to walk through the twin room to get to the master bedroom so it may not be ideal for 2 couples, but it was perfect for us. The bathroom is nice and big and the hot water heater was terrific. Nice hot showers in a shower that was wonderful for tall people. We really liked the bathroom. The living room and furniture is very comfortable. We found the kitchen a bit small - I am tall and I would have had to bend over too much to use the oven. The refrigerator is small too but fine for our purposes....wine bottles, bread and odds and ends. The location is fantastic and the owner has left oodles of information about places to go and things to do. She was great when I called her which was quite a bit. When we arrived it was very cold and I could not understand the instructions for the heaters. Nor could we figure out cycles on the washing machine so we talked to her about those things. She was very nice and seemed to be available at any time so I appreciated that. All in all, this was the perfect house for us for the week. I am so glad we found it. Thanks for your help. L Scott. Paris vacation rental apartment - The Rue Cler district in Paris was terrific. Great food, shopping and close to the river and the Eiffel tower. The apartment was very small but we expected that so no problem. The bed was very comfortable. In fact, can you let us know the make and model so we can buy one for our home. Vacation rental in Provence review (FB-8414) - After looking through our photos recently, I feel quite guilty about not letting others know of our exceptional trip. But when one is onto a great thing, one doesn't always want to share it with everyone ! I am referring to the wonderful holiday my husband and I had at Chez Beatrice in the southern part of France last fall. We were a group of 5 couples, and Kerry at France bound organized our accommodation, booked the French car rental, and recommended the easiest airport I've flown into yet (Nice, Cote D'Azur). With her recommendations our driving trip to and around our destination near Avignon were painless. I seldom even needed my ten word French vocabulary!. We shopped for our meals at the most interesting local market towns, tried fabulous food, found great wine values, and the suggestions on local points of interest were just perfect. I'd encourage anyone to book with France bound, and recommend Chez Beatrice in a minute. Paris vacation rental review (PP0723) - we had a WONDERFUL stay in Paris! Everyone was wonderful and the apartment manager met us at the apartment and was very helpful. Everything was great. We loved the apartment and its location is ideal.  We were so impressed. My one tip for anyone travelling over the Christmas holidays is to visit any major sites BEFORE Christmas.  The lines were five or ten times longer after Christmas due to holiday tours...It didn't really affect us because we had the museum passes and we had visited a couple of museums before Christmas. Dordogne vacation rental review - We had a wonderful trip, and the La Roque-Gageac rental was great. The views are tremendous, and I know that guests will love the pool in the summer.  The living area is warm and cozy and the kitchen is great, with all sorts of appliances you don't usually find in rentals, like a coffee grinder and a food processor, and the 2 bedrooms and baths are more than adequate.  There was parking nearby at this time of year, although it probably wouldn't be available in high season.  We truly hated to leave and would love to return, since the town is so centrally located for exploring the Dordogne.  Aloha. Luxury Villa rental in Aix en Provence (FB-1303) - the villa was just fantastic and 10 days was not enough!  The town of Aix was perfect, and all our excursions were great. We went sailing in Marseille; visited Cassis and the Calanques, which were great (we should have allowed more time for hiking); Avignon; Monte Carlo (good for shoppers); Eze was fascinating; and Cannes was interesting. Finding the villa in Aix at night was really tough. I know you warned me!  Next time I will make sure to have a cell phone from the start, and to read your information in advance. Paris Apartment Rental review (PG05-GL) - the Paris apartment was great. It was wonderful to be situated next to the river and looking out the window at Notre Dame, and being able to walk to Isle St. Louis and Latin Quarter. The twin beds in the 2nd bedroom would be just fine for shorter folks, but not great for tall people. All the attractions were great, except the Eiffel Tower.  It was somewhat crowded - we should not have gone to the top, as the upper level elevators can't handle the volume coming from the lower level elevators.  So we waited a long time and got quite cold waiting to get up, and then same deal coming down.  We should have just gone to the second level. We found five days in Paris was enough. All your advice was bang on, and the rentals in Aix & Paris were great. I'm telling all our friends about France Bound. J. Davidson. Vancouver. Sep/07.

Luxury villa in Aix en Provence (FB-1303): We were delighted with the villa and our stay in Aix. We went to the market every day, got some great ingredients, then had a superb dinners at the house, usually with local rose wines. The house was comfortable for 7 people. There are lots of different places to sit and enjoy, both indoors and outdoors. The garden and pool area are very private, which is remarkable for a home so close to the center. Every day we walked into Aix, which was a pleasure in itself. The town is wonderful, but that is no secret. We also enjoyed our biking trip around Avignon, Orange, and through the foothills around Mt Ventoux. Bottom line, we really enjoyed Provence and our stay at Maison Aix. We think the house is a great place to

Vacation rental in SW France review (FB-6401): We very much enjoyed ourselves at Maison Eysus and in Oloron. We really enjoyed walking out from the house and confronting the Pyrenees. The house is well located - up on a hill overlooking a valley, and you can hear the Aspe river. There is no traffic, yet it is close enough to town to drive in and buy daily baguettes. Provence vacation rental review (FB-8303): We had a fabulous time in both Provence, and we were thrilled with both rental properties. Both were very tastefully and comfortably furnished and we would have no hesitation in returning to either place in the future. "Villa Lorgues" was in a wonderful location. It was on the side of a hill with a lovely view of the town of Lorgues and the French countryside. We spent several afternoons poolside enjoying the view and the sunny, hot weather. Above the Villa was a nature preserve with walking trails (great way for us to keep up our fitness). It was a 5 minute walk to town for cappuccinos & croissants, or to enjoy a meal at one of the many excellent restaurants in Lorgues (our personal favourite: Chris Sandier). The wine from the area was also excellent and we enjoyed wine tasting at the many vineyards located within a 15 minute radius of Lorgues (favourites: Chateau Roubine; Chateau Berne; Chateau Auberges). The Tuesday market in Lorgues was the best in the region. We hHighly recommend an excursion to the nearby town of Tourtours and a drive to the Gorges Du Verdon (a mini version of the Grand Canyon). Aside from the many attractions in the vicinity of Lorgues, the Autoroute was only 20 minutes away. As a result, it was an easy drive to the coast and the cities of Cannes, Antibes, Nice (all within a one hour commute). A highlight was driving along the coast between Nice and Monte Carlo (and going up to the village of Eze Haute).  We also followed a tip from the very friendly property manager, and visited the coastal town of St. Maxine, talking a ferry over to St. Tropez. Apartment rental in Paris review (PP0719): We had a fabulous time in Paris. The apartment in Paris was also in a fantastic location. Aside from its proximity to the Eiffel Tower (and the magnificent view of the Tower from the living/dining room), there was a fabulous pastry shop, butcher, grocer, convenience store in the same block. Within minutes, we were able to buy fresh food each day for breakfast or lunch, and then enjoy the many wonderful restaurants in the area for dinner. France Bound provided us with great restaurant recommendations.  I also enjoyed the ladies wear store across the street (Domi Bis), which carried beautiful, high quality, classic women's clothing at reasonable prices. They featured a French designer who apparently made a name for himself early in his career by outfitting Jackie Kennedy when she visited France with President Kennedy. The apartment itself was quiet and serene - an oasis to come back to after a busy day of sight-seeing. An added bonus - it was air conditioned! We were thrilled with the "easy to operate" cappuccino/espresso machine, and we were pleasantly surprised by the gift basket that the owner gave us on arrival (which set us up for first day essentials, including a bottle of wine). The property management staff was very professional and helpful. The hop-on/off sightseeing passes were a great way to get around the City and had stops very convenient to the apartment. We also loved touring Paris on the "fat tire bicycles" for rent near the apartment. Many thanks again for organizing a wonderful trip to France for us. Luxury Paris apartment rental review (PP0725): Words cannot describe our recent trip to Paris. We spent a fabulous week in a truly beautiful apartment that was recommended by Kerry at France Bound. We were met at Gare du Nord by our superb driver and taken directly to our destination. At the apartment we were met by the local host, who showed us around our beautifully appointed living space. Our view from the living room window was of the Eiffel Tower just steps away. Unbelievable, and even more so at night as the tower twinkled on the hour! We ate at many of the recommended restaurants with our favourites being Cafe Constant and Le P'tit Troquet. This apartment was perfect for us - a family of 5 with 3 adult children - plenty of room and a lovely place to come home to each day after sight seeing. We highly recommend Kerry and France Bound for deluxe rentals and travel planning. Everything was looked after for us, including Chunnel tickets, Paris mMuseum and sightseeing passes, restaurant recommendations, museum recommendations etc etc. It truly was a trip of a lifetime! Provence vacation rental review (FB-1303): We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and our stay at Maison Aix. It is a stunningly beautiful house, especially the outdoor patio and pool area. We really enjoyed being able to walk into Aix to the daily markets. We also visited Cassis, Arles, Nimes, Avignon and Carcassone. Unfortunately we had problems with the TV & telephone at Maison Aix, but otherwise we loved the house and the location was perfect. France Bound's travel package was very helpful with lots of advice about the markets, vineyards, restaurants, and driving in France. Provence rental house review (FB-8404). We had a great time in France! The house was charming and had a stunning view from the deck. It was quiet and the location for us was perfect. And as our kids pointed out, the bedrooms were bigger than at home. We did a lot of short car trips, walking, bicycling around the surrounding towns( you were right about Bedoin, and the people at the cycle shop were very nice), and we ate well. For a little town, it has a surprising number of shops for fresh produce and delicious baked goods. And the people were very nice...even after they found out we were Americans...sigh of relief!

The train was easy and the car pick-up was no problem. It was also a great
time to go. May is rather pre-season and things weren't really crowded, even

Languedoc house rental review (FB-3401): We really had an enjoyable vacation. Maison Laurens is a charming house. We found the property owner's regional information very helpful with suggestions of interesting places to visit. 

The house was quite centrally located -  a 15 minute drive to Beziers, and we were able to really see a lot of cities, towns and villages in the area - Montpelier, the various beaches, Toulouse, Albi, Perpignan, Cathar country, Roquefort, etc.

Here are some tips to pass on to other travellers. We recommend that travellers remember to pick up supplies on a Saturday because the stores are generally closed on Sunday and sometimes the boulangeries are closed on Mondays in a small town. We did not know what supplies would be required, but we recommend toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Make sure you have enough change (highway tolls, parking, entrance fees, etc.) and don't bother with travellers' cheques — some places will not cash them - particularly in small towns. Make sure you know the international road signs. For example: cars from the right have the right of way except in a round about! Planning a move to France: Thanks to the expert assistance provided by France Bound we entered into our new world in the south of France with ease and pleasure.  The support and detailed information provided by Kerry removed a number of potential obstacles, giving us the time and peace of mind to settle in comfortably.  Our daughter entered the local village elementary school, to which we found we had indeed submitted all the right documents. With her French Immersion background her transition has been absolutely smooth.  Kerry continues to keep in touch providing information of interest to us in our immediate area.  Not only is she always there to answer questions, but she also takes the initiative to keep interesting connections happening. Sabbatical in France: I want you to know that I have not been able to think of any additions to your material. So far we are still using the France Bound Relocation Guidebook regularly, and find it an amazing source of information. The only thing I can think to add is that a hiking group organized by the International School has been a great source for local information and advice, as well as for meeting new people - including other France Bound clients! Antibes apartment rental and vacation planning review: You both went out of your way, to great lengths, to find accommodation that met our needs, and provided good directions/maps and ideas for our stay. The hill towns of the coast were wonderful to walk about,  and each totally unique. Driving on the roads provided excitement, and the villages provided relaxing walks. There is a little pottery town, Vallauris, just north of Antibes that had the best pottery shopping. We also enjoyed the gypsy pottery outlets we found around Provence. Our recommendation: buy all the cotton tablecloth fabric possible: it is so expensive in North America. Cheers and thanks again. P. Mauch. Vancouver October 2002

Provence villa rental review (FB-1302): Our visit to France was a wonderful experience. All the arrangements went well and made our trip relaxing, enjoyable, and successful. 

We discovered that we prefer the south of France to Tuscany, Italy. The French people were extremely friendly and helpful. We had no language problems, and we preferred the French food and wine. We also found France less expensive than Italy. 

We particularly liked the lush Dordogne region, and the town of Sarlat. In Provence, two favourite villages were Uzès in the Gard region and in the Ansouis in the Luberon, where we happened upon an excellent restaurant. We also really enjoyed Aix en Provence and its restaurants.

Other highlights of our fabulous visit to France was Beaune in the Burgundy region, and of course, Paris. R. Mackay. Vancouver B.C. August 2002

Living in France: We arrived in one piece, the dogs got here safely, and everything is wonderful. Our daughter started school yesterday and is happy. It took her about half an hour to meet some new friends, and she is thrilled with that. The best thing about the school is that most of the kids are in the same position as newcomers, and are keen to make friends, so everything went well. The information in your Relocation Guidebook has been very helpful. We have referred to it time and tine again. Thank you so much.

Planning a trip to France: Our vacation to Europe included visits to France, Spain and Portugal. By far, everyone's favourite country was France. The French people were more friendly toward visitors ,and went out of their way to be helpful. 

We really enjoyed the Loire and Dordogne regions, and our visit to the historical village of Oradour sur Glane was powerful and interesting. 

Access to cash was never a problem in France, where bank machines were available everywhere. Driver's should note that the road system and signage in France is excellent. Beware of poor quality fuel in Spain and Portugal, which can lead to problems in automobile fuel injection systems: always buy fuel from reliable sources. We hope to return soon to spend more time in France.
