Palette Pieds a Terre is a sunny and quiet top floor apartment with 3 windows facing west, and a balcony overlooking a peaceful pine grove at the back of the building. The living area is decorated in a Moroccan style with a balcony overlooking the peaceful woods behind the building. A still life by local Impressionist painter Jacques Loiseau hangs above the trundle sofa, which converts to 2 single beds. A dining table accommodates 4, and a compact but well equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, two burner stove, refrigerator, microwave, small oven, and washing machine. The small terrace seats two at an aluminium cafe table. |

The bedroom features a new, firm queen size bed and colour TV with DVD/CD player. The TV sits on a rolling table, which can be moved to the living room. The bathroom has a shower, wash hand basin, and WC. |

Bonjour Kerry, we are having a fabulous time here! The apartment is wonderful and now has internet and free telephone service to North America, which is a luxury. I have just been to the bakery for our daily fulfillment of croissants and bread for the day. The walk past the school toward Mount Victoire is great, in fact we run this scenic route every morning. After a week in Paris this is bliss !! Both my husband and I said of all the places we would return to it would be here, but next time we want to stay at least a month! France Bound was able to find us two vacation rentals in France on short notice. The first rental was a small neatly organized apartment just outside of Aix-en-Provence. We originally wanted to be in the heart of the city but found this cozy place to be the perfect location for travelling either to Aix-en-Provence for the day, or travelling to neighboring villages in our rental car to sightsee. The apartment was perfect and had a parking space and small balcony overlooking a wooded area filled with lovely birds. The local managers were very pleasant. We would not hesitate to stay here again one day. We have been travelling and living overseas for the past 30 years and in the future we will recommend France Bound to all our friends and acquaintances along the way. Just around the corner are all conveniences: bakeries, butcher, twice-weekly outdoor market, pharmacy, wine store, news stand, several restaurants, and hiking and biking trails. Aix is only a few minutes (3 miles) away, and can be reached by bus or bike. The village has an outdoor market twice a week, bakeries, butcher, pharmacy a wine store and other small shops. The apartment makes a perfect base for exploring Provence as it is within a five minute drive of two highway exists. |
