Reviews: The location of this cottage is wonderful, and the owner is most charming, and a great resource for information. We really appreciated the lovely meal that was waiting for us in the fridge, after our stressful drive. It was a wonderful welcome ! The kitchen was well stocked, even with wine, that we just needed to replace. Every morning the owner arrived with fresh croissants, which again was a very nice touch. For our taste, we felt the cottage could use new hangars, new towels, and fewer knick knacks, but these are small suggestions, and it is a charming cottage. We loved the village of St Remy, and we had excellent meal at a restaurant called LAile ou la Cuisse. We had a great time, Thank you for all your help. Cant wait for our next trip. K. Lang. We have just returned from a wonderful trip to France. I cannot say enough about the rental you arranged for us. The local hosts were extremely nice, and welcomed us into the beautiful cottage upon our arrival, after a tiring trip. We were immediately soothed by the cool air, the classical music, and the charming decoration. We were even happier when she announced that she had prepared an arrival dinner for us that was waiting in the fridge, along with a chilled bottle of wine ! She had also taken care of breakfast for our first morning, and had left juice, coffee, eggs, and cereal, and announced that she would deliver fresh bread and croissants to our door in the morning ! Needless to say that the service was above and beyond what we ever possibly expected. The cottage was absolutely beautifully furnished and decorated. And the pool & jacuzzi and gardens were fabulous. The owner arranged a cocktail party and took us on a tour of some of the most beautiful village in the area. I highly recommend this beautiful rental house in Provence. I just hope that the secret doesn't get out, so that we will be able to stay here again! Thank you for recommending this rental for our vacation in Provence. It was a truly wonderful trip. J. Our family of four, including two teenage children, has just returned from France where we spent a fabulous week at the Cottage St. Remy. We did not have a car, so we really appreciated the arrangements you made for our host to pick us up at the Avignon train station, and drive us to his charming "hamlet"of 17th Century houses. Cottage St. Remy is beautifully decorated in sunny yellow Provencal fabrics and comfortable furnishings, and is equipped with stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. The fridge was stocked upon our arrival, and our host provided us with a delicious meal of lasagne, salads, French bread, and strawberry tarte, as well as a fine rose wine. For the next several mornings, he brought us croissants, pain au chocolat, and French bread for our breakfast. We had a very private little patio area where we could relax in chaises longues, or eat our meals at a patio table. We all enjoyed the lovely pool and gardens where we met other guests of the "hamlet". One evening, our host organized a get together at the pool with wine and snacks for all the guests to meet each other. The hamlet is located on a quiet road just a 10 to 15 minute walk from St. Remy. This charming town has plenty of shops and restaurants, and is an ideal base from which to explore many areas of Provence. We were able to walk to the Roman ruins at Glanum (20 min. walk from St. Remy) and we travelled to Avignon, the Pont du Gard and Les Baux by bus. If we had had more time, we could easily have visited Arles or Cavaillon by bus. The entire experience was superb and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Our hosts were most generous and helpful. My only regret is that we could not have stayed longer. J. Messenger. Vancouver. Aug 2008.
