| Description: |
From the entry hall, you will find stairs leading to the upper floor and on the left is the dining room, with a huge fireplace and a unique round table & chairs for up to 12 guests. Next to the dining room is the huge professional style kitchen with vaulted ceilings, limestone floors and a fabulous grinte topped centre island facing the French doors to the terrace, gardens and pool. The kitchen is equipped with a La Canache stove, 2 ovens, & 6 gas burners. In addition, there are 2 fridge/freezers, dishwasher, microwave and several small appliances, including an espresso machine. The kitchen has an abundance of workspace for several cooks. At the far end of the room is a fireplace and a large farm table and seating for 8-12 guests. There is a guest bathroom next to the kitchen.
The spacious living room is adjacent to the kitchen and has French doors opening to the interior courtyard on one side and to the garden on the other side. The living room features high ceilings with expoosed beams, stone walls, and is beautifully furnished and decorated in soft colours & natural wood touches. There are several large comfortable sofas and matching armcharis arranged in front of the fireplace. At one end of the living room is a small entertainment area equipped with a stereo, satellite TV, & DVD.
Also on the main floor is a laundry room with washer and separate tumble dryer.
The sleeping accommodation comprises four main guest rooms, each with a spacious ensuite bath or shower room. One of the bedrooms includes an adjoining sitting area or childrens bedrooms.
A 5th bedroom is located in a small guesthouse next to the pool. The house sleeps 10 adults plus two children comfortably. |

The stone stairway in the entry hall leads to the upper floor where you will find three bedrooms (1 is a family suite). Bedroom 1 is a large master bedroom with southerly and westerly views and a queensize (160cm) wrought iron four poster bed. This room has an ensuite bathroom with tub/shower, sink & WC.
Bedroom 2: is a king or twin bedroom overlooking the courtyard. This bedroom can be made up either as 2 single beds or one kingsize bed. The ensuite shower room has twin sinks & WC.
Bedroom 3: is a family suite comprising the main bedroom with a queen (160cm) bed and an adjoining small sitting room, which can be made up with twin beds (trundle-style bed). The bedroom overlooks the courtyard and the sitting/twin room faces east towards olive trees and vines. This suite has its own bathroom with tub/shower, sink & WC. this suite is situated on one side of the stairway landing and is especially private - perfect for families.
On the ground floor there is a large room (bedroom 4) with twin beds, which can be pushed together to make a large king bed. This room overlooks the courtyard, and the ensuite shower room has a view towards the village of Goult (walk-in shower, double vanity, & WC).
The 5th bedroom is located in the pool/guest house, just a few steps from the main house. The pool-guest house has 2 levels. The upper level has a double bedroom (150 cm bed) with French doors opening on to a secluded terrace overlooking the pool. The lower level has a full bathroom with tub, shower, sink & WC. The guesthouse is ideal for teenagers, a nanny, or a couple who prefers separate accommodations. |

This Provencal villa features traditional construction, with thick stone walls, and shuttered windows, which protects the house from the heat of the Provencal summer sun. The south facing interior courtyard captures the sun and warmth for al fresco dining while providing shelter from the occasional Mistral winds. A westerly facing terrace offers vantage points to enjoy an evening aperitif while watching the sun set over the Luberon mountains. There is a large dining table and chairs on the terrace in the courtyard, and another outdoor dining table on the west terrace.
There is a gate to the pool on the courtyard side. The 12 x 6 metres heated swimming pool gets sun from dawn until dusk but has ample shade around for those who wish to escape the midday sun. The pool is reached by a stone staircase from the interior courtyard or the garden path that is illuminated at night. One side of the pool is lined with roses and the other side is lined with lounge chairs. The pool has two steps at the shallow end, and can be covered and alarmed for the protection of young children.
The house is surrounded by a landscaped garden, designed by Nicole de Vesian, the celebrated Provencal garden designer, and is set amongst vines and cherry trees. At the entry to the house is a garden area planted with olive trees and plane trees where one can play p?©tanque with a drink of pastis.

The house comes with 15 hours maid service a week, and weekly change of linens. An English speaking rental manager will greet you on arrival and remain available for assistance throughout your stay. Additional staff can be arranged for cooking, wine tours, bicycle rentals etc. on request. Equipment: washing machine, dryer, stereo, CD, VCR, satellite TV, highspeed internet, fax, telephone, BBQ. Goult is a delightful and peaceful village with a few shops, cafes, & restaurants. Guests can bike or walk into the village in 10-20 minutes (uphill going in, downhill on return) to buy bread and croissants at one of the 2 bakeries. Or enjoy your breakfast and morning paper at one of the cafes on the main square.
Goult is set in the heart of the Luberon National Park and close to other well-known villages of Gordes, Menerbes, and Bonnieux. The area offers wonderful scenery, bustling markets, good restaurants, and beautiful walking trails. Further afield one can explore Avignon, Aix en Provence, Arles and the famous Pont du Gard.
