We had a great time and Chez Beatrice was lovely. It was nice to meet the owner and to hear about the history of the Villa. She is a lovely lady. During our stay, we lots of great day trips to explore the surrounding area. D. Molnar. West Vancouver. Oct. 2009

We really enjoyed our stay at Chez Beatrice and had a great time. For our group of 5 couples, the villa was perfect. It was nice to have a "home" for our stay, and we enjoyed dining at home every night. The location is great for day trips in all different directions. Thanks. H. Notman. Vancouver. Oct. 2009.

We had an absolutely wonderful trip and thought Chez Beatrice was extraordinary. The children spent wonderful down-time lolling by the pool in between trips to Pont du Gard, local markets, Palais des Papes in Avignon, kayaking down the Sorgue, swimming in the Calanques in Cassis, traipsing through the castle at Les Baux, eating giant ice cream sundaes at Isabella's on Isle sur la Sorgue and playing endless games of kick ball on the lawn. We had wonderful meals with all the delicacies found at the local markets at Gordes, Bedoin, Ile Sur la Sorgue and others I can't even remember. We went to Rousillon, Uzes, found a tiny river in the Alps, and drank great cheap Cotes du Rhone wine along with some pricier Chateauneuf du Pape. We had fun trying to speak French. The rental manager was gracious and welcoming, and the pool was beautiful. Chez Beatrice is a charming country house with understated elegance. and well suited to handle our big crowd of 11. All in all we had a wonderful time. We are grateful for all your help with all the accommodations, car, and train reservations. You were extremely well organized and helpful. Thank you so much for your recommendations. Pam Dennis. Vancouver July 2009.

We had a wonderful trip. The house was fantastic and Beatrice was lovely. We arrived a little early and she welcomed us, told us where to go to get lunch, groceries, etc. When we returned she had the house ready for us. It was immaculately clean and we felt very welcome. Thank you for the excellent arrangements you made for us. I am more than pleased to recommend your company to anyone who needs a reference. We had a wonderful holiday and renting a home for so many people is the only way to go. We got up and had breakfast in the house every morning and then went on day trips. We either ate out or (most of the time) took a picnic. We saw some fantastic scenery and everyone was so impressed that the children and adults (except for the old folks) spoke such good French. In Cassis, our 8 year old grandson got a very large ice cream cone because the young girls serving him wanted him to keep talking. We usually returned to the house around 4:00pm every day and spent the next 2 to 3 hours around the pool. After dinner outside around the huge table in the garden, we went for a walk and met quite a few of the neighbours, who were very friendly and eager to tell us about the history of that particular area. By the end of the first week, we felt we were at home and would certainly recommend this house to anyone wanting a very restful and memorable holiday. Thanks for all your help. We couldn't have done all the arranging without you. I will keep in touch and if we need a home in France again, be assured that we will rent it through you. Bev McLeod. Toronto Aug/08

After looking through our photos recently, I feel quite guilty about not letting others know of our exceptional trip. But when one is onto a great thing, one doesn't always want to share it with everyone ! I am referring to the wonderful holiday my husband and I had at Chez Beatrice in the southern part of France last fall. We were a group of 5 couples, and Kerry at France bound organized our accommodation, booked the French car rental, and recommended the easiest airport I've flown into yet (Nice, Cote D'Azur). With her recommendations our driving trip to and around our destination near Avignon were painless. I seldom even needed my ten word French vocabulary!. We shopped for our meals at the most interesting local market towns, tried fabulous food, found great wine values, and the suggestions on local points of interest were just perfect. I'd encourage anyone to book with France bound, and recommend Chez Beatrice in a minute. When we return to see more of France it will be through Kerry at France Bound, and my husband and I can't wait to enjoy another great French travel experience with good friends. Merci, et Bon Voyages. Anna and Mark Termuende, Summerland B.C. |

It is a lovely walk through the pretty and peaceful countryside to Entraigues for your morning croissants, baguettes and coffee. The village of Entraigues has a bakery, cafe, basic shops, grocery store, chocolaterie and more. The location of Chez Beatrice is ideal for exploring all the attractions of Provence including the famous Roman Aquaduct - the Pont du Gard and the picturesque village of Uzes nearby. The famous vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone are close by, such as Chateauneuf de Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras etc. Of course Avignon offers the famous and historical sites of the Popes Palace and the Pont St. Benezet (Pont d'Avignon). Just south of Avignon is the charming town of St. Remy which is filled with excellent restaurants and charming shops and one of the best chocolateries in the region ! The Medieval citadel of Les Baux de Provence is not to be missed. To the east the beautiful landscape is dotted with the picturesque villages of the Luberon, each with their own special attractions such as Isle sur la Sorge - famous for its antique market; Roussillon - famous for its striking ochre cliffs; Gordes - a magnificent perched village with spectacular views and more. The larger town of Carpentras offers one of the best outdoor markets in the region. The town of Arles is famous for its Roman ruins, including the impressive arena. And Aix en Provence is a lively small city with fabulous architecture and daily markets. You will find interesting sites and excellent restaurants and vineyards everywhere. |
